Specs:

'97 TJ
5.5" Clayton LA system
1" BL
Genright Flat Fenders Front
Genright Tube rear flares in the rear with some cutout.
D44 up front, 8.8 in the rear with spacers. Sitting at 65" WMS
Will be running 36"X14" tires

The Clayton kit comes with 5.5" springs. I think i am going to be sitting way too fawkin' high.

I saw some 2.5" springs on sale locally. Was going to pick them up but am now thinking... This will be too low"???

Any comments?

2.5" will be too low. I run the RE 3.5" springs which is closer to 4". With the body lift I am right at about 5" of lift, and it's about perfect IMO. You could try the 5.5" springs and lose the body lift?

I need the BL for the MML and the belly up. Plus i like the space between the frame and tub to keep the rust to a minimum :)

Thanks for the response. You're the one i wanted to hear from as i wasn't sure what spring you were running and i was certain you had 36" tires. I figured it'd be too low.

The shorter springs can be made to work by relocating the coil buckets which let's you set the ride height, you could even use threaded rod to make them adjustable. They would also give you less suspension travel and maybe better stability, so it depends what you want.

But if you want to keep it simple put the 5.5" under there and see how it works. Other than the body my Jeep is almost the same (same suspension and 5.5" coils) and the 35s rub under articulation, but your custom fenders should help clear your 37s.
