What if ii need new ECM... ? (2006 LJ Rubicon)

Hi again folks - I'm still trying to sort out whatever my issue is on my daily driver (see other thread about locating a Camshaft Position Sensor).

However, as Mlorint points out I may need professional (Dealer...) help.

What if the issue turns out to be a bad Engine Controller (computer)?
What are my options?
- new from dealer
- used from ?? (I saw a site in US will flash your VIN and send you a "used" one for US $450 + tx/shipping, but that seems pretty iffy to me).
- re-flash my...

Hmmmm I got a recall on my LJ. Something about the ecu harness or something.
I will dig it up and see if it could be related.

I think it was only to do with etest but I'll double check
