whats the plastic box in the rear tj fender

anyone know what i the black plastic box in the rear passenger side fender of a TJ . IS IT A RELAY BOX FOR ELECTRICAL.

im looking to remove it in order to put the comp corner.

It's for emissions.

If you remove it, you computer will have fault codes recorded. and you will not pass emissions tests.

They did a TJ on xtreme4x4 and even they opted to keep it and move it out of the way as much as possible because of the PITA it will cause.

If you never want to pass an Etest and want the idiot light on the yes. there is a lot on google about this.

no etesting out this way, but it would just be easier to relocate it so as to not get the engine light on the dash! JP, i'll try to stop by after work tomorrow to check it out!

You can move it inside the tub or up to the front of the vehicle...

ah i know no etesting but being in Pet figured he is in the Military and will get posted, i didn't think i would have to worry about that then I moved to Ottawa and guess what etesting.
