Where to buy a single wrench?

Ok this is stupid I know. I need a 1 inch wrench on the cheep. I just need to get one thing off the Jeep.
I have someone coming to look at it tonight and I need to get the back door back together.

Where is the cheapest place I can buy a single wrench? (No I can't drive the Jeep somewhere and borrow one as she is not plated - expired tags)

Preferably somewhere in the West end. Driving to Princess Auto from Kinburn is not cost effective :)

I don't get it, you can get out to buy one but can't get out to borrow one? I think I have one at home, Barb is there if you want to drop by during the day to take it home.

But if you're set on buying one try TSC, Cdn Tire, Home Depot... just call first as 1 inch is a bit on the big side for these stores.

I mean't I can't bring the Jeep to borrow in your drive way. I need to take it back home. Does that make sense?
If I can borrow one that would be awesome. Can I bring it back tomorrow?

Jen, you are better off buying a set from canadian tire or similar store.
Per wrench you'd pay maybe a third of what a single wrench would cost you.

X2...I've been looking for a ratcheting 7/16" wrench and at most places, it's close to half the cost of the set.

I agree entirely but when you only gt 10 bucks to your name atm you don't have much choice.

Princess Auto was way too far of a drive for me for it to be cost effective.

So I went to TSC as clearly they had the best price. I paid 9.03 with tax and have finally swapped the rear wiper motors. Was easy once I had a proper wrench. Now she's all put back together for the 2 people viewing her tonight.

On a side note, I wanted to take the locking lugs off and put regular ones on except I have nothing that fits the key of the locking lugs. Not so good if I ever had a flat and needed to change tires. Must look into that before I put locking lugs on the purple Jeep.

FWIW, those nut grabbing sockets meant for removing rounded nuts spin off locking lugs after you tap them with a hammer a few times.

So, once you get around to it you know how to remove your lugs and now you know how easily they can be defeated. Don't bother with them in the future unless you move downtown or something.

I wouldn't even bother in general even living downtown. Best solution is don't buy ultra expensive rims especially for something that is also an offroader.

I'm not concerned about the rims, I'm concerned about the tires :)

Good point :)
Either way the locking lug nuts are as much of a deterrent as the club. It will stop the thieves of opportunity but not the determined ones.

Speaking of club I saw a picture a while back and I have been searching all morning and can't find it again. It was one of these:

Except I think the loop part was longer, and it was around the break pedal and clutch (above the pedal) and was referred to as the poor mans club. Wish I could find that pic again. Ohh well.

While searching for it I found this:

Called the Hillbilly RTI :D
