Wiring - 86' bronco 2

Does anyone know where the negative pulse wire is on my 2.9l ford, for a aftermarket tach, or what colour it might be, everything i try dosent work, let me know if someone has installed one before, or knows what colour i hook the distributer (green) wire to on the truck, thanks

the tach can be conected directlt to the coil. I beleve the terminal you use is on the right side as you look at it with the terminals towards you as it is mounted on the fender, that should be the terminal with the capasiter atached to it. power for the tach should come from a keyed source , provide a good ground and a fourth wire will provide for lighting.
