I need to make a decision on what prop valve to run with my brakes on the XJ.

I've replaced the rear drums with Suzuki Sidekick calipers.

People that swap ZJ rear disks on XJs usually use the internal valve out of the ZJ prop valve assembly in their XJ prop valve assembly.

Supposedly this changes the bias from 50/50 (XJ) to 70/30 (ZJ).

I am installing WJ brakes in the front. Supposedly the prop valve internals out of the WJ is also swappable. I don't know if it is the same unit as in a...

that would do it :heep:

I run the Wilwood and like it. Install it, drive it, tweak it...repeat until desired bias.

Thanks guys.

I was talking to one of the JeepSpeed "demi-gods" over at NAXJA and he said that with his set up (WJ front brakes, Explorer rear brakes) he runs the stock XJ valve and it works fine.

Seems non-intuitive to me but I'm no expert.

With how slow I am building stuff I think I'll leave it for now and take it for a test drive and then add the valve if I have to. I need to get the Jeep out of the way so I can get the S2000 out of the garage. Racing season is almost here!

Where did you guys get the Willwood? I want to get one this week as I'm upgrading MC and will get rid on the stock combo block while I'm at it.

I got mine from Jegs. They are normally a little cheaper than Summit.

I've got them for Adrain and Roy before. I know they weren't wilwoods but I can't for the life of me remember what brand they were. I can check for you tommorrow if you aren't too partial to wilwood.

Let me know Keith, I'm not partial to any brand yet but I do need it fast so I won't be ordering from the US since I risk delays at the border and high UPS fees. Tomorrow I'll start calling local car shops.
