I don't know if anyone has been following these trucks being made available. I think they are kinda neat but wish they were a couple dozen thousand dollars cheaper. At ~$55k USD you are paying for a lot of specialist time - which may or may not be what you want when you can import a really nice (albeit used) RHD 70 series of Gwagen for about half the cost.

Anyway, sorry for the editorial. I think it is a neat truck nonetheless and worth seeing...

Very nice.

hhmm....extended range, 30 - 40% better fuel efficiency, worldwide fuel availability......yet diesel power is nearly non-existant in North America....
I am overjoyed that 2/3 of our domestic auto manufacturing is bankrupt and Asian & European companies are buying them bit by bit, maybe "soon" some of their technology will be available here. And don't even talk of emission standards...North Americam emission standards are idiotic.

Now, if only the guys in thevideo could learn how to properly pronounce diesel.....

Yeah, well, NA market has always been completely retarded. People just don't "get it" over here. Just look at what passes for a "sports sedan" or "sports car" here versus pretty much anywhere overseas. There's a couple of bright spots (Wranglers and WK/XK, Vettes, Mustangs, full size pickups come to mind) but otherwise most of the cars and trucks are retarded. Even the bright spot Pontiac G8 is a rebadged Holden Commodore. Of course they had to kill that car with Pontiac. No idea if it'll get rebadged as a Chev - in the middle east it is a Chev supposedly.

Urg - rant starting - must fight it. ;)

I didn't notice how Scott said diesel until you pointed it out. LOL

Hey Chris, you remember Eugen?

He just got one of these 3 weeks ago. Says he got lucky, pretty sweet ride: Corvette motor, and full sedan space.

And a trunk that can carry six bodies, err, people.

Fawking thing howls and handles. Well, Ok, handles pretty good for the long wheel base, reminded me of my 05 LGT, but with more power, and without the AWD.

x2: compete despite your masters, or lose.

Now, if only the guys in thevideo could learn how to not exude BS market speak through their pores, and actually list tech, it would be good

Fixed that last part for ya. :D Overland? C'mon, fawk the marketers on that one.

Yeah, the G8 is a pretty sweet ride. It's a little bit more "hooligan" than say an equivalent 5 series but then there is quite a disparity in price between those cars.

Eugen's always been a Pontiac guy. He must be pissed.
