So I needed to get some corners for my CJ2A and when I ordered some from Warrior Products, they came in and didn't fit, they sucked a$$. They were too tall and the cut out for the wheel well wasn't even close. They sent me a hatf or my troubles. ba$tards.

Anyways, I was going to get some 1/8 sheet cut to the size I need and bend it myself. I found I have a 4x4 sheet of 1/8 that I got from a freind. So I cut out the pieces and bent them up using my press.

I am pretty happy with the...

Very nice. The radius seems to match the tub perfectly. Did you use a piece of tube/pipe in the bender as a die? How about the outside?

Here is the jig I setup, it was a 3.25 inch round piece, I think a 3.5 or 3.75 round might have done a bit better. But it came out nice enough to live with it.

Lots of measuring to make sure the bend was in the right spot. Like I said, I am happy with teh result, and being 1/8 thick, got some strength, the tire carrier mount goes on the passenger side, I still have to mount that, and at least there is some good steel now.

I am no body person, so yes, this is the easy way out, but I like it.

I would have liked to use a jigsaw to do the wheel well cutout, but I couldn't find my blades, so I used the sawz all. There is a bit of a error in the cut, but compared to the WArrior one I bought, these are 200 times better.

At least I have a general idea on what I can do for the TJ if I decide to do some corners.

hehe

Just have to do some bondo work (never done that either) then order the paint from Willy Acres and try out the paint sprayer. (have to make a pint booth in my shop as well.)

My goal is to FINALLY get the body done and bolted back on so I can start re-installing the stuff in the tub and hopefully try to get it running by the fall.
