I am really interested in the tranny! Just moved here and have a lack of coin. Got alot of parts and am able to do labor for trade. Anything you need. Got Toy 4.38 gears(factory complete differentials) , spare rear axles, front axles (+birfs), I have a complete propane conversion system for a carbed toyota, doors for an 82 pickup. I really want the tranny. PM me!

Pretty sure Scott won't know the answer to that. Heck, I don't know how to tell either. How do you know? Is that the difference between top shift and forward shift?

Your right Terry, I have no clue how to tell. All I know it is out of a 87 4cyl. Truck. Brook the parts are not mine, I will ask him if he wants any of that stuff. He doesn't wheel the trucks, he just fixes them up. If you do end up wanting it Brook I can get Dirk to take a look at it so we know which type it is.

So from my research it looks like if it was fuel injected (22RE) then it is the W56, if not (22R) the it is the G52. Dirk can you confirm this??? Pretty sure the one he has is from a 22RE

if its off a turbo truck - R151F
from behind a 22RE - W56
regular 22R - G52 or G54

Ohhh yah, top shift and forward shift refer to the t-cases. Forgot about that. Top shift is the one people want to use to do dual cases.

I can use it no matter the type as long as it bolts to the 22r. I can modify the shafts to accomodate.
