LOL
And to think I thought nobody cared!
I brought my "new" Comanche home this past weekend. Here are some pictures.
It's a 4.0, 5 speed, SWB. The truck is originally from Colorado and has been in Ontario for about two years. Of that time it has been parked for approximately 18 months and it has only seen the beginning of an Ontario winter before it was parked. It is truly, mostly rust free. There is a bit of surface rust in a few places but the underside is excellent and far better than my 2001 Cherokee... and my Cherokee is very decent.
There is a backstory to why it was parked. Long story short: the engine is "blown". I'm not sure what blown means in this case as I can start the truck and it roars to life instantly. The throttle return spring is pooched so it jumps to WOT as soon as you touch the throttle and it has milky oil in the sump.
Maybe it is only a blown head gasket... which is concerning since a blown head gasket on a 4.0 is unusual... usually something else is fubar to cause it. I may replace the fluids and see what happens. Maybe the engine just needs a bit of TLC.
A big thanks goes out to John Farley for the loan of the trailer. Towed like a dream.
