Picture Woes & Gallery2

I just uploaded some pics from Crag Lake, all were resized to 2000x1333, but still the thumbnails are broken. I forced it to regenerate them but now it's just different ones that are OK and broken. It's also very slow, do I have to re-try at 4:00 AM or something? I'm really tired of this crap :banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead:

How many images did you put up? FWIW, I've always had good success ( as in no broken thumbnails) adding 10-15 images at a time when creating galleries.

How about resizing them before upload :clue:

We don't need pics that big in our gallery anyway :flipoff:

Can anyone tell me what image processing libraries are installed? Eg ImageMagick, NetPBM? I'm going to try to duplicate the setup and see if I can find the problem.

Oh, I also need to know whether your hosting package is a Windows or Linux one. If it's Windows I may not be much help.

Last night's upload was 9 pics, all sized at 2000x1500. If these are "too big" for you, go buy a new monitor :flipoff:

I also went into the album properties and resized the thumbnails to 160, just to regenerate them, and most were still broken.

I changed the order to use ImageMagic instead of NetPBM and I was able to rebuild Richard's thumbs fine.

Sure, I'll be gallery admin. It might take me a day or two, but I'll regenerate all the thumbnails and see if the image library priority fixes the problem for good.
