Any interest in running Scotchline in Nov?

This trail requires a vehicle with mud tires at the least, front and rear tow points are also a must for this run. it's not far, about 45mins from downtown ottawa, the trail is a straight line with 2 sections. expect deep mud and water, then more deep mud and water! there are ways around some nasty spots sometimes but it seems to change somewhat from year to year and i haven't been since last year so not sure... Probably best to set a tentative date of the 21st if anybody is interested to avoid hunting in the area.

For those worried about damage you wont get any dents here but you may blow all kinds of other parts up from endless mud and revving the snot out of your engine, well if you do it my way and let it bounce off the rev limiter all the way through!

Ideally to go through this trail there would be a minimum of 3 trucks, one of which would have a winch. or just all zuks! haha.

This trail is included in a hunting area as well? wow I can't catch a break. I guess I'm just going to run B&D trail then.

if that's the black and decker trail in brockville you will find more ways to damage your truck, it's a fun trail but it's got nasty holes and more.

one another note when it that run, i only did half the trail last time around, was good.

I run that trail all the time with zero issues. Does that mean I can run scotchline without any damage?

the most damage i got on B&D was a tree got in my way and I had to coax it out of my way with the bumper.

well, maybe it's a little different than when i was in there, had mud/water up to my window.....

i don't want to be rude but i will not run scotch line with somebody running street tires unless there are a few guys and one dedicated to pulling you through. did this when i 1st got my tracker and i felt like a dick for having to get dragged through. further to that my tracker does not pull heep wagons, they are too fat. sorry man.

Are there not bypasses? I wouldnt want to have people pulling me out all the time either. I would also feel like a dick for wasting everyones time.

well for bypasses not a lot, you can avoid a couple of the deepest parts, just depends on the day, some days I have driven right through, and others I have spent 4 hours going 300' (see first set of pics, was a great day lol). I have made it through in my stock truck (with mud tires) and have also been swamped i nthe same (usually self inflicted though lol) I will try to make nov 21st if I can. It is a very tough trail for stock, since the mud is hard. I do not mind pulling people around (or pulling the winch) but understand what you are getting into before you come. nothing on this trail accept mud, it is short and usually done shortly after lunch (9-1) but like mentioned if you come TOW points front AND rear are a must for everyone. Stock tires are not a good idea (really need mud tires) and not afraid of the skinny peddle.

Front Tow point - Quadruple check.. this is AWESOME. lol
Rear tow point - Nope. Stock bumper rear, My girlfriend is trying to find someone to build me a new bumper for the rear for christmas. No luck so far.

Okay so can anyone tell me if I am on the right track...I went out tonight to see if I could find the trail see how it is...I drove through merrickville and about 900 meters left of the main intersection. Then down scotch line the trail was about. 7km long over a train track but the trail was extremely stock friendly we did it in our 08 patriot without 4wd....the trail had street signs and everything and was even on our gps....then it opened up to roads so we followed it for a bit and finally scotch line road came to an end but the trail continued...it was just past a road that starts with a D...down the trail before it ended on the gps there was a lot of garbage dishwashers washing machines etc.....does anyone know if this is the trail head

Your on the wrong part of scotch line. Much closer to kemptville, and once trail starts, you do not want to explore it alone, in case you go a bit to far.

I live 2 minutes away from Scotch line Rd and have been up and down it quite a few times. I was on it not long ago with my ATV. Its not too bad right now but there are a couple of sections that might require a winch or a pull. I've run into hunters as well just up before that little shallow quary full of water. Not sure if that's such a good place to go at this time of year.

Glad so see there might be some interest in running this mess of a 'trail'. Let's put a vote to the date; possible dates are 21, 22, 28 or 29. My preference is to run this on a saturday as shit will be a giant mess after this run and anybody who needs to get to work in clean clothes might need a bit of time cleaning up the drivers seat...

I will lead the way through if there are no other takers for that role.

RE: Any interest in running Scotchl ine in Nov?

Fucking messy. It is a nasty mud road at the best of times. Worst I =
saw it was when one of the holes swallowed the front of Richards Jeep =
before he decided to back out.
