I seem to be leaking window wash from the rear of the jeep. I noticed today it was dripping from above the gas tank somewhere the off the bottom edge of the tank, a quick look and my trunk space carpet is wet. I didn't have time to really look into it and was hoping maybe it a regular TJ thing and someone here has a quick easy fix. I'm thinking I would never use it anyway so can I just cap it off up front somewhere. Remember I'm completely new to Jeeps!

Most fluid leaks I have heard from is up front into the passenger side which is due to a gap in the air vent and water getting under the front cowl. That is easily rectified by pulling off the front cowl and sealing around the edge of the vent. Never heard of anything regarding the windshield washer leaking. Check where the tube enters the hard top which is on the driver side. Is it working at all? It may have disconnected or have a small perforation. Are you sure it is the washer? Could it be a rear window is leaking? Possible alternative is bad seals around rear windows. Although if it is soaked I would suspect not.

Turns out it was the supply tube had come off at the connection to the hard top. Actually it was under the carpeting and took me awhile to find it so I suspect the previous owner didn't have it hooked up and the plug came loose. Found it and hooked it up and it is now working.
