I currently have no fluids in the front diff and i have to move the TJ about a Km or so tomorrow after work.

I'll be towing it with a booty fab bar hooked to the receiver ball on the front of my bumper and will tow it that way. It'll be in Neutral.

Do i risk any possible damage going that far without fluids?

I would want some sort of oil in the diff. It won't take long for the bearings to heat up and possibly get damaged.

That's what i figured. OK, I'll try and pick something up on my way home today then...... Barring not being able to find specifically what i need, what COULD i use as a substitute in a pinch to just get me to my destination?

Don't quote me on this but I'd think that anything would be better than none, even engine oil. If you are requiring special additives, that's not a big deal, put the gear oil in for now, add the additives later -- just don't forget.
