Cps gromet/seal

Hi guys/gals... I am in need of the gasket/gromet that goes around the hole in the plastic plate for the crankshaft positionig sensor.. I replaced mine a couple of weeks ago and there wasn't one there. I have tried dealers, tranny shops, pretty much everywhere to find one. The dealers (chrysler) doesn't list the part, tranny shops don't carry it and scrap yards won't pull it off a tranny to sell it seperately.
I have talked to a few people and they say running without it isn't a problem but...

I probably could but breakage and dropping into the transmission would be a concern.... I was thinking sa bit of electrical around the sensor jam it in the hole and Liquid gasket... Would it work?

Well I have a few that fit the old style CPS I am not sure if it fits the newer ones but you are welcome to try it I know it is different but can probably be modified. Speaking of mud and water though I keep saying that one of these days I am going to actually run my lower splash shield which when not on leaves about 1/3 of the torque converter exposed, also I am not really sure how much water and mud can get to the top of the bellhousing but let me know you can have it for free.
