Ok... So i am now saving up for Baja's axles. I want to convert the front axle to manual hubs. Now online kits seem to be for the older CJ's that ive fount. If I find a ford ranger Dana 30 with the manual hubs. Can I swap the knuckles to the XJ d30??? I may have located the waggy springs and pitman arm I need, so if I get the funds by the weekend for the axles. I will be starting this swap on the long weekend. I plan on doing the SFA, rear axle, motor swap, and transfer casein about a week. I know, im wishful...lol...

Ok... I hate self proclaimed ranger experts... Decided to start researching.... and apparently they came with a D28...errr...

As far as I know the Ranger came with a Dana35 front axle.

Why not go with an 8.8 in the rear with spacers?
Front you could go with a 44.

Earlier F150 D44's had leafs.

my plan is under $1500 for SFA... Scotts axles have everything I want. I can run them for a few years and build some custom axles.

Well its not super important to get the hubs. If I come across a set for a great price then ill get it.
Thanks a lot guys for all your help!

Ok... I have the front leafs, pit-man arm, steering box, and axles coming. Now to start getting the misc. hardware needed.... Anyone know where I can get something like this spring mount to the frame?

If you have the specs, PM Mike (Lorint)... I am certain he can make these quite easily.

I dont have specs. But I guess all I would need to do is order a bushing. ...

Mess around on Poly Performance's website. They have pretty good specs on most products to help you along the way to having something made..

Thanks a lot. Id rather use a local guy first. As soon as I get the springs, ill measure then PM him. Unless someone knows what bushings I use with waggy front leafs...

Haven't been on in a bit, and it sems like EB axles are old news in this thread...but...76 and 77 had disks, all others drums.
As far as conversion, just pull the disk parts off a 1/2 ton and bolt it on.
