Hmmmm...strange. None of Steve destroying his junk in "The Crack", or whatever it's called. LoL

We were saving it for the Saturday (it was pretty wet on Friday). But by noon on Saturday everyone was broken. So no 'notch' :p

Looks like George (blueangel) broke a rear shaft on the comp course (carnage pics on Pirate). Curious as to what happened to the rest of the crew, though.

George: broken Ouverson shaft on comp course Friday
Terry: electrical
Brad: broken tie-rod (fixed on Friday), dented front ram on Saturday. I had to do part of Otter's backwards and rock creek using rear steer only
Steve: rear axle shaft on Saturday on rock creek

We parked 'em and went to watch the race for the afternoon.

It was a great weekend overall, the weather was cool as usual for that time of the year, but no rain once Friday morning broke, by then the ground was so wet, it was an all throttle day.....Sat Brad and I went out and by noon were both broke, but at least got to do what we wanted in the morning......I am disappointed not making it to "the Notch" was ready for it with the newly installed slutty snatch, which was a welcome addition to my truck, no more pretzeled t-case mounts....but I did find the next weak link in the rear axle...not bad though for stock axles, all these seasons wheeling only to break now.......so I guess I'll seek out some cromos for the rear and pack a bunch of spare u-joints.....

Was it the short side that broke?

My snatch install shifted my weak link from the tcase mounts to the front axle, I've broke each side since the snatch went in. I feel your pain.

It was the long side REAR......got a few spares around here I'm sure but no point putting 20+ yr old stock parts in a truck that is anything but stock.....
