Any January runs planned for 33"-friendly trucks?

Would love to do a nice, not too difficult, trail run somewhere in the snow this month... I don't know any of the trails around so looking to tag along... anyone planning on going anywhere?

We usually give the trails up for the sled heads for the winter, but if anyone can think of one that doesn't use/cross OFSC trails, post it up!

If it is an OFSC trail is it illegal to drive on in the winter? Or is it just sort of the honor system?

They have the agreement with with MTO that if you are on a designated snowmobile trail without a pass or a snowmobile that you are trespassing unless otherwise stated on shared trails.

What about the Gorge? Any chance of me making it through in the winter?

Hm, maybe anyone else might be interested in a Saturday run? (assuming it doesn't cross OFSC trails)

And thanks, the tires look shitty but they only have a few thousand miles on them and actually tread snow pretty well. Did some testing up in NWO this Christmas where we have over 3-4 feet of snow in most places.

Unfortunately The Gorge has a large part of snowmobile trail to get to it on that end part of Lower Spruce Hedge road but I will try and find out if they have groomed yet.

I do not believe Gorge is an OFSC trail, but maybe someone can confirm. A few years ago we did pass sleds on the trail though... but I think the road is just an unmaintained road. There wasn't a LOT of snow, but it is very slow going ... we spent all day just getting to the trail head. Then we turned around :p

It's both.

Dwayne is right even if it is on an unmaintained road or crown land. We have to keep (or should I say try to get) the OFSC on our good side. Driving on "their trails" in the winter will cause alot of grief.

Actually the trail comes from Calabogie from the first power line that we cross and and then turns towards White Lake and continues on the road where we turn off at the second power line.

And so I took some time to look over that, it appears that there is hardly any trails open not surprisingly, but I will tell you that Dirk, Marek and I went through the Gorge last year in December with min 35's and locked both ends and besides driving down the trail there were only a few obstacles that we could climb and that was because it was sunny and warm on those approaches.

So probably not the best idea for myself? Well if anyone else goes up there let me know anyways, maybe I will at least check it out.
