I was talking to the guy that has it he didnt build it he bought it this spring I think it was for sale at a dealer in ottawa last time. (Sounds like a steal if its built right?)
Now I imagine it has lockers but it doesn't say anything about them, and I am no expert on D70's but aren't they harder to get gears and lockers for? And aren't they huge? I wonder about clearance under it with 35's lol.

So, all in all would you folks say this worth buying? It has peaked my interest and I do happen to have a few bucks I can spare.... Looking for honest opinions, don't hold back!
Honest opinion... Stay away.. I spoke at length with the seller as i too thought about it as a good start.
1 - Salvaged rebuilt
2 - Registered as a 1994 YJ
3 - Does not have the special keys to get the rims off...
4 - Engine knock but assures it is just the manifold. Issues with starting but assures it is just the spark plugs. Suggests the coil might need to be replaced.
Those 3 items alone kind of spells out what it could have been through

#4 is a problem.
If he can't put it to right when selling it then it is likely expensive to fix.
I'd run an LT1 until it wore out or broke. Gen II is kind of the red-headed step child SBC these days but they aren't a bad engine if set up properly. This one sounds like it has issues.

Tim just wants it for himself...lol.... I'm pretty disappointed to hear what Tim had to say but I know he knows his stuff.... I was thinking it I would have owned it by the week end if it wasn't gone.....
