Hi all...looking to see where most of you guys buy your tires from? hoping to find a place that deals with interco i am thinking of going with the interco SSR's 35/12.5/15 but cant seem to find anywhere close that sells the buggers. seaching US sites prices really vary..and shipping is a killer ...no deals to be had that way.... There was a guy in gatineau but his supplier is out of interco something about a factory shutting down...anyone know anything about this

Buy from Summit and ship to the boarder and go pick them up. It will be the cheapest.

Interco has had all kinds of production problems over the last year. Lots of rumours floating around, but nothing official from Interco that I've read.

I got my Iroks from National 4wd in montreal. Good price, reasonable shipping rates (could have saved shipping if I had picked them up in Montreal).

Adrian had heard that the problem was the factory they had manufacturing their tires shut down and in order to get DOT approval they had to reapply for the new factory. Damn government will probably F*** around until they put them out of business. Has anybody else heard this? www.pjf4x4.com sells Interco I believe.

Everything I've seen on Pirate is that when Denman (IIRC) went under, they did a lot of the larger Interco tires. As a result, Interco needs to move the molds to new factories, and is having a hard time getting that up to speed. Mind you, these stories have been circulating for a year+ now, and you'd think they could have new factories up and running. I hadn't heard anything about the DOT renewal stuff though.

You might want to talk to Richard about the SSR, as I don't believe he had too much success with their sidewalls.

If you plan on off-roading don't buy SSRs as their sidewalls are very weak. I know, I tore 4 of them :pissed: If you only plan on driving them on the street then they make a great poser tire :rainbow:
