Rod Ends

Hey Guys,

Just a question about rod ends...

I was originally going to go with Currie's 2.5" Forged Johnny Joint's for my TJ's new suspension. I started looking at Ruff Stuff Specialties 1.25" Heat & Cryo Treated Chromoly Heims with Stainless High Misalignment ends...

I plan on still semi-driving this Jeep on the road. Any thoughts on the Ruff Stuff vs Currie joints?

Thanks.

Till Valhalla!
i read somewhere once that joints like JJ's where prefered on the street over heims, for some reason cause less vibration - but that's only what i've read.

Thanks for the replies.

I contacted RSS and they told me their heim suspension joint is not rebuildable and is estimated to last 5-6 years. Even less if used in a DD.

Food for thought.

+1 on the JJ

Or, If you feel like taking the chance on Ballistic, they do make a good joint.... (took me 2 months to get mine)

Ya... but Ballistic joints running $80+ a pop not including bungs and jam nuts... is a little pricy... ouch!
