Does anybody know a good place to bring diesel truck's in Ottawa?

What kind of truck? or what engine? There are lots of truck shops in Ottawa. or are you looking for a performance shop?

Sorry just for repairs, glow plugs.

It's a ford 7.3

Any one can do that, on a pre 94 they are on the outsde of the heads like spark plugs. Yhe 95 and newer ones are inside the valve covers so they take a litle more time. but before changing them it's a good idea to check that the controler is working properly, its on top of the engine and easy to check and change if needed, besides if its not working new glow plugs wont help.

I found a good write up online on how to check the glow plugs. And i think its the relay. it's more for future reference/ problems.

I'm also having trouble with my cruise.

What year is the truck?
Check the switch on your clutch pedal for the cruise.

It's a 2000 and auto.

I changed the brake switch and the cruise control switch on the end of the master with no luck, next to check is the clocking spring. But i'm running out of idea's

Yeah my brother tried that already!

7.3 PSD glow plugs are not that easy to change. The valve covers have to come off along with the air intake hoses and IIRC intercooler plumbing also. And the bolts closest to the firewall are challenging.

Once under the valve cover the exhaust valve rocker arm are in the way and be careful jot too much oil runs into the cylinder once the glow plug is out, especially the rear most ones on each bank. Some say it could hydrolock the motor...

And most importantly...only use oem Motorcraft plugs or Beru plugs, don't use any others.
