Looking for a 4x4 TH350 trans as I'd like to try my hand at rebuilding one.

I have a 4L60 (non-electrictronic, basically an updated 700R4) if you'd prefer the lower first and a fourth gear.

$100?

That I'll have to think about - the extra length might kill me though as the CJ is short enough as it is. I am intrigued by the 6 bolt pattern on the rear, though, for potential t-case options.

I just picked up a TH400 at Carleton Automotive and am pretty sure there is another one there. Just an FYI.

It's possible to make the 700R4/4L60 work in a CJ7, lots of people do it. You just have to get the details around the drive shaft and SYE right with whatever transfer case you end up using. IIRC Dana 300 works no problem. The NV cases need a really short SYE like the JB Conversions one to get a decent amount of shaft in place but that doesn't really apply on a CJ.

3.0x:1 first gear...

Mild torque converter ratio is 2.2 typically. AW4 is ~1.7 for comparison.

Anyway, it's here if you want it. I'm tired of looking at all the spare parts I have lying around and am liquidating. If anyone wants an AW4 I have one of those too. LOL

NP205 case in my CJ is a fair bit longer than the 300 I believe, and I'm looking to add either a Blackbox or ORD Magnum box for a doubler, so I need every inch of trans I can get :)

Ah, yeah, if you are running a NP205 I see the problem. :)

Length ain't great, although it's plenty tough. In a CJ, though, the width is a killer. If I ever clock it up, I'll need to move the exhaust to the drivers side, and possibly notch the frame for clearance. It's a big fawker.
