hey, I sold my 85 xj a couple years ago. the guy only ran it 1100kms, but with no rad fan, the engine blows white smoke now. it is a 95 camaro 3.4. I bought the jeep back to fix it up again but have been busy with other things. It is lifted on Re 4.5 kit, has the vaccum eliminator for the front diff, 4.10s, two lockers, an invinsible floor(think steel), etc. I will sell it cheap if someone has their own rims/tires and will replace/fix the motor(and add a ran fan obviously). It has an endless...

hey all. This jeep is not rotten. it was always rust checked and had a 1600$ paint job about 7 years ago. it is by far the most solid xj I have seen in a long time, definitely more solid that your average late 90s xj.
to get some interest: heres some new stuff,

bearings(400$)
gears(400$)
lockers(800$)
vacuum eliminator(150$)
clutch(150$)
master cylinder
slave cylinder
clutch fluid lines(100$ stealer...)
tranny
tcase
calipers
rotors
pads
drive shafts
windsheild(250$)
wipers
cd/mp3 player(250$)
tie rod ends
ball joints
wipers
Beautiful Drag'n tach, 5 inch, with a detailed graphic of a dragon blowing fire in the back ground of the tach, absolutely amazing, very rare, pusrchased from princess over stock.

stuff i changed:
paint(new steel in bad areas like behind back tires, new fenders, etc)(1600$)
interior(from vinyl beige to cloth black)(freebee)
suspension(rubicon express 4.5")(1800$)
brake lines(steel braided from RE)
cut front fenders and re-located flares
The floor will blow you mind, you cant even dent it with a sledge hammer! took 2 weeks to heat and bend it into place.(200$ sheet of steel)

I cant remember all the details, been working on it for about 5 years, I think 600$ is cheep. I have a fortune in it.
Caution: will not win any car show awards or find ya hunnies. But it is extremely utilitarian.

how about a trade on a 60's bombardier, or an ol' yamaha sled?

Hey,
I actually meant it is good for someone who has a set of rims n tires and they would fix the gaskets or swap motors, a 4cyl or 2.8 6 cyl jeep motors, or 93-95 chev camero 2.8 v6 blocks bolt in. The original owner oil sprayed it constantly, she had it in for servicing over 140 times in 105000kms, the only patch of bondo on it is the size of your palm, when i got a ding in the door shortly after painting it. I have her records from 0kms till 105kms. Then a guy, also in ottawa owned it, but kept no records. I owned it from 123kms, lifted it at 138, sold it at 170 and bought it back with 171kms, where it sits now. It's solid, never replaced the rockers and they still dont have rust. original doors, and ofcourse original fibreglass hatch.
1. What diffs are in it?
2. What lockers?
3. tranny?
4. Tcase?

1. it's a dana 30, dana 35 combo, with 4.10s from a 4cyl yj
2. lockright lockers.
3. it's a lowkm 5spd ax-5 (manual) with new fluid, clutch, throw out bearing, clutch lines, master and slave cylinders.
4. it's an np231 in it right now, i think anyway, been a while since i was under it.

I's a heck of a good starting point for 600 bucks. I prolly have 20 times that in it. even the gas tank is new and uses a red holly electric fuel pump. It honestly prolly looks like its worth 600 bucks now, but someone could bring it back with a reasonable amount of time and no one else has an xj with the old sharp lines anymore. I'd restore it but i am in over my head in other things right now.

I can trade towards 1959/60 international harvester b100 parts, specifically a seat and rear diff.

K, this old bird is back up for sale. The trade didnt happen cuz the white 98 was the path of least resistance for Rich. I would like to re-finish this jeep but havent got the time, well, I do but I spend it on my dirtbike. It needs a head gasket(ran very nice, but had white smoke, from being over heated) and it needs some rims n tires. The 3.4 in it was a goodwrench rebuild from arnprior auto parts.
If you dont have cash, I want a set of rims for my car from a website, so you could buy this jeep on a credit card, get me the rims, I give you a jeep with a 3/16th steel floor. If the rims end up being 700$ after tax then I'll give you the jeep and 150$ cash back. This jeep has none of the usual xj issues, no holes in rockers or floor and a new windsheild. Delivery could be arranged by a buddy with a truck n dolly.

Cool, I am hoping someone will see it's potential, I could prolly remove the diffs as they are geared n locked and sell them, then take scrape metal value for the jeep but I cant bring myself to do it after putting years of work and an obscene amount of money in it. It is pretty rough looking, but it is intended to be a trail jeep. It was rust proofed from day 1 by the original ottawa owner, thats why the rockers are still original with no rust or patches. The floor is 3/16 steel from the firewall to the back seat, I think it could handle an IED. Would be such a shame to just crush it. I'd leave it in my yard n get to it later, but I am gonna sell my house, n its an eyesore.

This lift kit came with full leaf packs from rubicon express, this is not an AAL lift. I bought the kit as they list it, with AAL. BUT, the very next day I snapped leafs springs. So I called them back and added full leaf pack to the order from Rubicon Express. I had the AAL remain on the order. When I received them, I took apart the RE leaf packs and added the RE AAL to them. I also added spacers up front, thats why my 4.5 kit was actually 6.5, and I ran 33 x9.5, then 34 x10.5 swampers. As it sits, the spacers are still in the front, but the rear packs are RE packs with no AAL( I think, not 100% sure if anyone is willing to go to court on this, as I bought the 98, already lifted on RE 4.5, and have since sold it so I cant confirm the receipts anymore), the packs with the AAL went into the 98 xj.
