I'm selling my mother-in-laws car and she took my tracker because its Auto :banghead:.

The specs: manual trans, heated cloth seats, a/c, power everything, Dark Blue

225,000km

safetied & e-tested

no oil leaks - she has done every service at the dealer

The Bad - normal paint peeling off in areas.

If the fenders are peeling, take it in to HuntClub VW. They'll replace the fenders under warranty. I had the same car and had that problem....

Any VW dealership can do that - it's a recall on all TDI's thanks to the wonderful idea of foam blocks behind the fenders (had both mine done at Bytek).

But they won't all do it gracefully. I too went to Bytek (As that's where i had bought it) and they refused to. At the time, i was an active member on OVD. All VW enthusiasts agreed that for the least amount of headaches, huntclub was the best place to go.

Oh i know it's a recall, but not one that is strongly supported not when i did mine (In or around 2006 or so). Perhaps the attitude has changed.

Nonetheless a great commuter car. I miss mine (Even with the inflated diesel prices)..

Weird, I had no issues at Bytek and they replaced both sides even though only one was bad. Agreed that it's a great car, and IMHO, a good deal for someone looking for a commuter.
