The course is free - for last year. From the next year there will be a small fee. Club membership is $35 a year and is due after the member is voted in the club.

Note that you don't need to be a club member to join the trail rides, although it does get you access to the members only portion of the forum. Two trail runs, two meetings (last Thursday of each month at the Cock'n'Bull pub in Bells Corners), and you're voted in. The membership fee is only $30, but if you want to buy Mitko a drink with the other $5, I'm sure he wouldn't mind :)

We had a great day. 8 trucks participated the course and the trail run after.
The trail was fine, not very wet or muddy.
Thank you everyone for coming.

I am very glad I took part. I want to thank Mitko for taking the time to run the safety course and give us all an overview of basic and common sense know how.
The trail portion of the afternoon was an eye opener to say the least as I wasn't sure what to expect. No extra curricular activities took place. I did receive a few trail reminders but nothing that can't be buffed out. The water was manageable and and I did get to inaugurate my skid plates.
I look forward to the next run.

Glad there was a good turn out!

I hope you had a good time Dave with the old 1/2 ton!
I bet you were surprised on how capable it was.

I would never have tried that on my own and had a few reservations while sliding down a few rock ledges thinking if never get back out. I will say it is easier to turn a jeep around on the trail than the F150. The new bumper gives me a a license to do some landscaping when the trail is tight. I did have the mirrors folded in and I really found the steep drops tricky when you can't see over the nose and have to drive via Braille.

That was fun even if I didn't go that far down the trail at all...no surprises there. The liberty is just too low and the stock tire size is too small - I was able to ride on top of some of the rocks in the middle of the trail but that xmemb did get whacked a couple times on the way in (was more strategic on the way out) - I gotta build a couple plates for it and get it LIFTED no question. I had fun on the portion that I did and we got into water up to the headlight, so that was cool to me. It's more capable than I had thought actually. I had to stop before the other guys dropped down that ledge and then into the deeper water - how 'serious' was the trail after that?

By the way - who had the white 2dr JK (that mentioned he had a CB)- did I see you at the OCDSB All-Star-Band performance at Brookfield HS yesterday?? My son (gr.8 trumpet) was playing in it and I thought I saw you - my glasses' prescription is kinda old, so in the dark I wasn't totally sure if it was you.

Yes, thanks so much to Mitko - I definitely learned a few things on and off the trail. LOVE G-Wagens - such beasts.

Cool emtu! Thought it was. Great performance!

Anyone have pics? I snapped a few, but nothing too exciting.
