Hey guys,

Did really know where to post this...

Does anybody know where I can get .223 full metal jacket ammo between Petawawa and Ottawa?

Thanks

SFRC is ok to deal with, probally the cheapest. And a nice drive (I hate shipping ammo). Honestly, If I need to top up supplies, I go to Lebarons, their prices have not been bad lately and they have actually had stock when I stop in. BTW, Ive been hearing good things about the steel case MFS stuff. I havent run it in a hot M4 yet, but I'm hoping to test a case soon.

I remember the old Lebarons location, where are they located now? Haven't been there in years. I'll keep SFRC in mind too.

Thanks for the responses. The price of ammo has gone up alot in the last year.

I usually prefer to stop at Epp's Sporting Goods in Orillia if I'm going through the park. Excellent knowledgeable staff. Always impressed with them when I go in there.

Planning on hitting the range this weekend and the ammo is needed for a buddy's rifle. There is 223 FMJ in the area but most of it is the eastern European corrosive ammo which him and I won't use. Usually it's alot cheaper but I think the damage it can cause isn't worth it.

you do know that that eastern European ammo is only meant to be fired from the hip right and sprayed in a wild back and forth motion.

Where is your range?

The only corrosive I've seen besides the 7.62 is that crappy 5.56 Plilipino stuff you find floating around once in a while. I've seen a lot of corrosive ammo fired through AKs and varients and its not as bad as you may think, even without chrome lined barrels.

check the classified ads on canadiangunnutz.com I have found a lot of nice guns and ammo on there!! Plus the site sponsors at the top of the page have lots of good selection. Marstar and Canadaammo are 2 good ones that i have used before... but you have a bunch of choices. Most of them will ship.

Only thing I have heard about it is that the place is pricey and more "outdoorsy" in style than true outdoors places like MEC or LeBarons (although looking at the website appears to be the opposite). Course that is all hearsay. I should go there at some time since I work on the other side of the highway
