Till Valhalla!
To the tune of Sinead O'Connor's - Nothing Compares To You:

It's been 5 years, 3 months and 6 days
since you took your trails away
I go on the internet every night and sleep all day
since you took your trails away
since you've been gone I can do whatever I want
I can wheel wherever I choose
I can drive my rig in a fancy Moab park
but nothing
I said nothing can take away these blues,

'cause nothing compares
nothing compares to you

It's been so boring without you to 'wheel
like a bird without a song
nothing can stop these lonely tears from falling
tell me baby where did it all go wrong?
I could put my tires round every obstacle I see
but they'd only remind me of you
I went to the doctor guess what he told me
guess what he told me
he said boy you better try to have fun 'wheeling
no matter what you do
but he's a fool

'cause nothing compares
nothing compares to you

Bill, that brought a tear to my eye as i sang it to myself :lmao:

I think the point is while Paragon is indeed gone (I have no clue what it was like), there are other places to go. Will they be the same? No, but there is still fun to be had. As for RC, I'm not sure if anyone from OVO has seen the new North (or whichever direction it is) side of the park, so there are a ton of trails you don't see in any of the pics posted here.

It'd be nice to get a group out there that aren't anybody else's nutswingers.

You know, people who just want to wheel what they've got, stretch their limits (and their truck's), have some fun, without any of this ego bullshit.

I have the rig that I have for a specific reason. I want to see how far I can take it, and where it fails configuration-wise: I compensate with driving skills and knowing how to read the trail. I'll say this: from what I've seen, a lot of people upgrade their junk to make it easier (because they can't drive in the first place).

Admittedly, I tend to be more of an expedition type kind of guy. There is nowhere right now that I CANNOT go with my rig on the planet. (You can always winch, build up the trail with rocks, or wood you find around, etc).

This, for me, is FUN! And until I completely run out of possibilities on what I can do with what I've got, I'll keep trying everything. Then, and only then, will I upgrade, and look for bigger things to try.

Went wheeling on the long weekend (ran the Quinn, Crag, front and back), and had everything I needed to camp, right out of my rig. Tent, stove, heat, A/C, food, and had left over seats for hookers.

And I drove it home.

to each his own I say.
No matter what you wheel , as long as your happy.
Don't bash another man's ride or his driving skills, we are all here cause we love going off road, none of us have unlimited funds, and that is the main thing that limits our rides ( at least for me anyway).
