I'm in if you think a stock jeep can make it through. Is there some place in west end of Ottawa we can meet and I can follow you to the trail.
Let me know if the run is on, I'll check here early Saturday morning. Let me know where to meet up.
I will update this thread by 7AM tomorrow morning. I would think you "SHOULD" be able to make it through. There's only one spot that's a bit rocky but if you pick the right line, you should be fine. I saw a stock samuri and a few JK's go through it last Fall.....
Godzilla, PM me your number and i can give you a call....
Thanks to Tim and Matt for letting a new guy tag along on short (no) notice. It was a great run. Thanks for the spotting too - the twins really appreciated it!.
I'm looking forward to coming out again sometime soon.
Rob
Yeah, saw that.... I am sure that with some play time, there's a spot that could once again become quite soupy..... The water level though is a tad higher
All in all a great day for a trail ride. We had Matt~LJ, Myself~TJ(And Wife and Son), Rob~Cherokee (Above), his brother George~Cherokee (Sorry, board name escapes me) and Chuck~Spankin' new Rubi (Godzilla). Hit the Trail at around 9:30AM and crawled along up to the top, getting there at around noon or so. Played around on the rocks up there for a bit and then worked our way back down... Had some rock rubbing happening down in the water hole. One of the cherokee's stuffed the front tire just once too many and ended up buckling the front fender inwards.... There was still a surprising amount of water there (Beaver damn).... I took the outside lane on the way back and the water buried my 37's.... Down at the mudpit, Godzilla managed to bury his Rubi in (What is the start of) the new mudpit and needed a yank... Other than a few ATV's, we had the trail to ourselves. We were out by around 3:30PM.... A great day.
Definetly was a good day. allot of fun. Great weather.
Man has that mud hole changed. The part where it used to be a foot deep is now above my rock sliders and the mud hole that no one used to be able to do, now is doable with a almost stock truck.
It was nice to see some new faces.
As for the boots, i figured it was muddy enough for them, lol
Thanks for a great day guys! My brother and I had a good time and will definitely come out again soon. Great spotting and really helpful pointers....I have some pics I'll send your way too.
Just wanted to put my 2 cents in. I had a great time!! Guess they really do build these stock Jeep for off roading. Next time I'll make it through that mud hole.
Thanks for all the pictures and of course getting me out of the mud....haha.
