Anyone ever run K&P in Calabogie?

Just wondering. This sounds like a good ride once snowmobiles are off.

I've done it on a bike. It is a "trail". Emphasis on the quotation marks. It's a little fun on a bike / quad / sled, but wouldn't offer much for a truck. Might as well just drive down a fire road...

Ok, that being said, could it be used by a truck to get to some back lakes for fishin this summer?

I don't know that I would consider any of the lakes along the k&p a back lake, but there are a couple of lakes along it. If you google k&p trail you will find all kinds of info, including maps.

I know the K&P trail very well.Used it for years on the snowmobile and atv year round.I was up there this past weekend for a tour.

Your not gonna find many Backcountry Lakes off of it,you gotta go way further into the bush for those. For any Pristine Lakes with Trout your not going to be able to access them with your truck at all, there ATV access only for the most part unless you have a highly modified Rig.

I'm back in there all summer long,I know trails up around those parts that take you 3-4hrs to get 2km's on an ATV.

You also need to purchase a Trail Permit for trails up around those parts, most of them are on Crown Land.

I used to camp on Lavant long, which is a great little lake not far off the K&P trail. You can get in there in a half tonne or even a 2wd ranger if you have a heavy foot. Not really trailer access tho.
