Still planning on making this run with the weather forecast?
If I can make it I'd like to be there. Not sire if the zuk would do well in the snow though.

Definitely won't be going I started the process of taking off my front fenders. Got all bolts off except bottom 3 driver bolts at tub.
Following are the ones that snapped:
bottom 2 driver front bolts on grill
bottom passenger front bolt on grill
all of the ones on the passenger side of tub except 2nd from the top for a total of 6 bolts

So I got some drilling to do. Surprised the passenger fender didn't explode in a cloud of rust. The inner fender practically fell apart

I feel your pain Chris. Been there, done that, twice! A really good set of drill bits makes a world of difference.

PIcked up some cobalt drill bits and already drilled through one. Now I need to get right size exctractor and see if I can get the rest of it out.

Well I got one out no problem. Drill with a 1/4" bit and that was enough to allow flex in the remainder of the bolt to break the rust weld. Unfortunately I have broken two more bolts but the fenders are technically off.
If the trick I used doesn't work then I will definitely tap it.

Speaking of Crappy Tire has their Cobalt bits on for 1/2 price right now

Is there enough showing to weld a nut to it? I found that worked really well for me when i could.

There is one like that and I was going to try that but most of them sheared off flush or behind.

I've got extractors if you need to borrow. You should also start your own build thread and stop hijacking event thread and my email lol

lol I have extractors but thanks though. looking at how little I have done I can see how the thread would be: yep here I am changing a dead turn signal bulb.
yep fixing an electrical gremlin

Sorry for my ignorance but I don't know anything about this trail and I would like to tag along. Are lockers required at all? Would a stock JK (32" tires) be capable of completing it?

It's been done in a stock JK, dependent on driving ability though, how experienced are you? You will hit bottom at times. But if like you said in your other thread you and comfortable with that, then your good to go.

Ok, well this would be my first trail run. Though I am familiar with the concepts of tackling an obstacle like never gunning it and spinning the tires, keeping all four wheels on the ground, and always keeping the tires in contact with tallest part of an obstacle rather than letting it scrape the underside. I also know about proper use of 4lo and airing down before hitting the trail. I just don't want to be the guy that always needs a tow because I don't have lockers or a lift kit. I would really like to give it my best shot though.
