We need to schedule 2 trail runs for August.

Where do we wanna go and when?

I'm thinking a Quinn run and carp maybe?
If there is enough interest for the new stock guy's I would consider leading burnt lands but only if if there is enough interest.

Hi all
This coming Friday I'm getting married and on Saturday we leave for our honey moon on Govan lake. I'm not a 100% sure but I think there are some good trails in that area. We'd love to do a trail run Saturday the 16th and we'd share our site with anyone looking to camp. Just a thought.

Congrats Ryan and Kaylana! Wicked spot for a honeymoon - she's a keeper!!! Not sure if you've been up before, but plan for ~3hrs door to door. For sure there are trails...we are up there almost every two weeks. Lots of ATV trails and some wheeling trails. Horse/deerflies are brutal there right now, but skeeters are almost nil.

Watch the for the last power line cut on 509 - there is an easyish trail heading uphill to the left just before turning onto Canonto Road (literally ~100m before the turn). One small ridge, loose rock approach, then a variety of trails continue until you get to a smallish pond. There is also access to this cut/trails from South Bush Road and River Road (both to the west).

After you get onto Arcol and you see the unmaintained road sign, look for a variety of logging roads/trails (I now call them pinstriping trails), just make sure you are on crown, it starts just after Labine Lk.

Just after Labine Lake there is 'Hydro Lane' to the left (check Google sat) that goes down between Hidden lake and Wolf Lake. It's smooth forest double track until after you pass Granite Lake and then it's basically an ATV trail. Technically it goes down to Mosque Lake, but iirc, there is a no admittance sign for a hydro dam with the ATV trail continuing (very narrow access). I turned around.

Right before the last right turn up the access road to Govan Lake, take a left at the 'intersection' - (look at the rocks to your left) I think this is where Arcol road continues, but it's not marked. On the left it is passable with most stockers. The right is more fun hee hee. There are a few ridges, access to other lakes etc. There is a rocky trail (below, of course the actual trail is more hairy than the pic looks), nothing crazy that heads back to another lake access point on your right...not sure if it is Kidney Lake or not, didn't think to turn on the GPS. There are a few parts needing some extra care, some other trails leading off into the bush.

WOW thanks F>F that is a print out now hahaha. We stayed at Hungry lk a couple years ago, But had no time to explore. Its 2 hours from our place to Canonto rd. then into the bush haha. We will be dragging a trailer in behind the Sidekick. Should be a blast.

:D No problem, I'm new to this, but we got out with a fever this year!! btw not sure if you've ever been, but I found Redhorse has a good view at (almost) any site and great swimming too.

Have a great time. Hope the 'kick behaves!
