PS - trail-Gear:

"Better Than Stock" 4340 Chromoly Birfield

This is an OEM style, 27-spline birfield made entirely out of 4340 chromoly material. The material upgrade makes this birfield much stronger than stock.

"Better Than Stock" 4340 Chromoly Birfield, $99 each,

$99 a side buy's a lot of piece of mind

Hey Farook, you have a 4 cyl in that 'Runner, no? With dual cases I'd be going a little taller gear. I have 5.29's and let me tell you do they suck for highway cruising with 35's. With the 3.0 and stock case, cruising at 110Km/H I'm sitting at 3200 RPM. For anyone that knows Toy's, the damn 3.slow running over 3G's it becomes a gas hog. If I keep it down at 80Km/H it's pretty good on fuel. If I ever have a redo of my axles I'll be going down to 4.88's. YMMV with the 4 banger. Those 4 bangers put out almost the same HP as the 3.slow.

I should add, if you want to go for a cruise in 5.29's on 35's when you're in town, give me a shout.
