Keep an eye on the trail run calendar, most trail leaders will start a specific thread a week or so before the run, and outline what level of vehicles are capable.

Off of the top of my head, Carp, Lavant and the Gorge all can be done on 31's, but as said, the trail leaders have the final say.

carp was my first real run ever, on 31's I beat the hell out of my jeep. Maybe a mild run for advanced guys, but if you do Carp, be sure to have someone who knows whats up ride with you and teach you. I didnt have guidance, ran at night and made rookie mistakes causing a bit of damage. Although, after some practice I think I'd do better on those rocks ;)
Just my 2 cents

Here is a list:
Dwyer Hill/Burntlands: Stock friendly (even Honda Civic friendly) mostly fields but a big mud hole. Big thing is be careful in Burntlands as it is a Nature Preserve. Stay on the trail and do not deviate. If the ministry shows up (and they have), there will be hell to pay
Lavant: Really nice trail with a great view at the top. Minimum 31's
The Gorge: Stock friendly with pick your poison. It is a hydro line with obstacles off the side. You get the varying gambit of stock to buggies doing it.
Carp: used to be stock friendly but has gotten worse and worse so minimum 31's with 2" lift assuming we are talking Jeep TJ (Rubicon excepted since they are no where near stock)

Lavant and Gorge are pretty much full days, Dwyer Hill and Burntlands can be done in 1/2 to 3/4 of a day. Carp takes 2 and a half hours in and out if you have done it before and no one dawdles. But usually is 4-5 hours.

Night runs make everything more difficult. Snow even more so.

I'd be game for carp again once my jeep is fixed up, a stock 2dr jk made it back there last time I went out. But all depends on how to choose your lines

I would definitely think about going on the Safety course that Mitko does. You could learn some important tips on recovery.

Can I do any of these trails with my Touareg on 19" summer tires? I have an air suspension so I can jack it but i'm worried about traction with the 275/45/R19 Summer tires.

Carp is a strange trail in that every it has been different. Last year it wasn't too bad but the year before it was wet and sloppy. However it is pretty safe to say 31's are a minimum.

Also, hidden hitches suck on that trail. Kept banging off the rock drop offs.

Put it this way, if there is a trail run you'll probably be told to jump in with someone else. Last thing you want to be is the person that ruins it for everyone else by having your ass dragged over every rock.

2Greys.. where and when is that ?

Lol at harleys613
why lol? an earlier post said some of these could be done with a honda civic! i figure that was an exaggeration but surely there are some trails where I could have fun with normal tires! i've done some pretty hairy things with the normal tires, but not a nice long trail!
