I'm in for this if people don't mind that I have ONLY front tow points. I guess some people at Lavant weren't aware that I only have front tow points so I'm making this clear lol..

I doubt you'll need a pull for these trails, especially late in the season

Just to remind people it is hunting season and you may get chased out of the bush.

Yes people, please leave the trails to the hunters for these 2 weeks of the year. We already have one group (OFSC) of people gunning for trail closures, we don't need two. A 2 week break isn't too much to ask...
Burntlands is probably ok since it is some type of protected area, I doubt it is a hunted area, but I'd stay well away from Dwyer Hill.

oh geez, good call Twinkie. I forgot all about hunting season. Duh, after talking about it with the Lavant ride you'd think I would have remembered.

Hulk: Not to sound like your Father but isn't the baby a little young to be hitting the trails? The baby will have no control in motion as neck mussles are not strong enough. We didn't take Madison until she was 18 months old.

+1 - Logan was over 2yo before I took him for the first time.

They are in a reverse facing car seat when they are young for a reason ;)

Mind you, Burntlands is road anyway :flipoff:

yes you guys are right she is too small for real off roading which is why i chose burnt lands....it is not worse that drive down your local dirt road with a few pot holes.....except the pot holes on burnt lands are longer and filled with water...but thanks for the heads up i did not know hunting season started this weekend

Does anyone have any tracs or a map of the burnt lands? Or any other kid "friendly" riding areas in the area.
I would like to head out with my kids for a ride on ATVs. They share a 90 cc and would like to avoid roads.
I live near Smiths Falls but have discovered I need to trailer our rides to the trails.
Thanks in advance.

Also a reminder Burnt Lands is a recognized provincial natural preserve. DO NOT DEVIATE from the path at all. Matt and I met up with a couple of the guys from the province last year and he stressed that. He gave some of the examples you may see where people have cut off the path to get into the mud a bit. That's a no-no.

Yes, Burnt Lands is a special nature reserve, in that the ground has some sort of really rare moss or fungus growing on the rock that is easily killed, which is why it's so important to stay on the trails. That said, there are a lot of signs to help keep you "off the grass".
