TJs typically have 3.07 stock, 29" tires and 8" clearance vs the JK's 32 tires and 10" clearance
The TJ's skid plates are a thin gas tank skid and the shovel they call a TC crossmember.
Let's not talk about the steering box which drops another 1-2" below the front bumper.
I will give you the V6 vs I6 though but blame that on the EPA
Granted the lack of skid plates on the JK was idiotic at best. But on the TJ moving the evap to the passenger rear corner must have been crack induced
The longer wheelbase on the 2 door JK could be considered an advantage but that is counteracted by the width. But having a rear Dana 44 stock is also a huge benefit compared to the rare nonRubicon TJs.
All that said I would still take a TJ for upgradability when you compare the insane costs for the JK equivalent. $1000 for a bumper? no way
