Trails are mild to wild, if there is enough interest in the smaller tire sizes we can try to make sure there is someone there who knows those trails. The trail system is vast, I've only seen 4 or 5 of the trails myself, but they are fun!

As for the people who don't know i'm pretty sure that this run your gunna want at least 35's and locked front and rear but i have never been there before so maybe someone who has may be able to confirm, Terry?

I got the impression from Terry that there could be some wheeling to be had for the po' small tire crowd (on separate runs) if we could get a group together. I'd be up for that.

The hard part will be having someone there that would know those trails. Danny, any help there? Think anyone down your way would be willing to come and lead our smaller tire crowd on a run if we can get the numbers to commit?

I talked to Pete Menard today. Looks like he will be going on this run also, so he can lead us to the harder trails......as long as it's not the Grizzly trail, I don't think I like that one any more for some reason. lol

I'll be there. I know all the trails there. Don't mind being a guide too.

Bad News!

I've been in contact ORA 4x4 and was advised to check in to hunting season for the area. With Dwayne's help we figured out that Chertsey is in area 9 and straddles the East & West boarder. What does that mean? It's hunting season, as you can see from this list:
http://www.mrnf.gouv.qc.ca/english/...e/hunting-regulations/periods-limits/deer.asp

I know we don't like to piss off the hunters, so we'll probably have to cancel this run.

Thoughts?

Looks like we would be ok if we moved it to between Oct17th-30th -- Must be why we usually went in late Oct previously.

I don't like to piss off hunters either but at this moment, there is big "road" work in the forest. There is bulldozers and 30 tones Volvo trucks.. Tonkas all around working on the roads till they are done. That means past winter. I don't think hunters will have a good season too start with!

So since this seems to be a no go is anyone interested in running somewhere else that weekend? Maybe Lingham again, or somewhere else if there are any suggestions?

I was just about to post the same thing. We could do Lingham, and the North Hastings club is running in Flinton, we could hook up for their club run, as long as our numbers are not too big...

Their run is on the Saturday, 9:30am start in Flinton. And if we're late, I know how to get to where they'll wheel. It'll be about a 15 minute drive down 41/Flinton Rd to get there. So most would probably trailer there.
