Cloyne - Trail Entrance

For those of you who run the Cloyne Hydro Lines do you just take the gravel road and head west by the golf course on the West side of Hwy #41 where it meets with 506?

I belive that just turns into the Hydro Road if I am not mistaken and hits the Hydro Lines.

Doing some scouting for backcountry sled locations for the winter months and I know some members run that area.

Thanks in advance.

Actually the OFSC clubs run on that hydro line so I am not sure how much back country sledding there is there. Also you would be surprised how much of that is private land even though it looks vacant and seems like Crown land. And yes that is called Hydro road because it follows the hydro line all the way to the Lingham lake trail.

Thanks for the info. I recall that being on OFSC trail...similar to the Hydro Lines we run up past Petawawa in the winter.

Has the club ever had issues with land owners in that area? My cottage is about 10 minutes away so I was going to head back there and check it out tomorrow now that rifle season is done.

People don't like you driving on their land, if that starts happening and people get upset then we could get kicked off the Hydro line as it would seem they own it and it is not just on Crown land.

Thanks... I can certainly appreciate land owner access and rights being involved with sledding for many years. I knew some of the OVO had experience in that area, yourself included so I figured I would ask.

A portion of the Hydro Line that runs through the Dwyer Hill trails run through my property and many simply assume it is crown land as well. I don't even know all of what is road access, private etc in that area either so I always tread as lightly as possible.

Dwayne what is the name of the camping ground you guys stayed at there last summer when we did Cloyne? I was thinking of doing a camping trip out there in the spring of the year and wanted to see if that place would be ok for a nite.
Oh and how much was it$$

what's the difference what I plan on doing ?
unless you bought the place since the last time we went, I mean it is a free country right.
I never noticed a sign saying no OJC ,
I am adult enough to to look at this like groups that love off roading nothing else.I really don't care what the initials on you decal is.

I don't really care what you do personally, but some people take exception to being lead in to providing information under false pretenses. It may have been better if you said something like "I plan on leading a run there with OJC" instead. Just sayin.

No this is bullshit , unless you and the OVO buy land and have private trails ,you have shit to say about what I do with whatever club i wheel with.Just cause John hurt your feelings somehow don't mean you can start calling me missleading. I never misslead nothing .
I asked for the campground name and someone gave it to me case closed .Unless you wanna make something bigger of it.I ain't gonna have no childish CAPS arguments on the internet.

But as a club, we do have a say in what you can and can't access here, whether or not you can come on trail runs, etc, etc. If you do want to be a part of the OVO community, all folks ask for is a little respect. You will notice that no trail locations are posted in the public areas of this website for just this reason.

My 2 cents.

Farley hasn't hurt my feelings, not sure why you're bringing him in to this?

And what is a caps argument?

And what Kevin said above is exactly the point, whether you understand that or not. You're only hurting yourself bud.

that and 2$ will probably get you an extra large coffee at your favorite coffee shop.
If you are blind enough to think people don't return to trails on there own or with another group your sadly mistaken.
Until the OVO refuses me entry to runs ,I will take you speak for yourself. But I must admit you do paint a picture for most to see.....

I understand your feelings are hurt because your run was erased at our site .But you gotta man up and roll with the punches .
