I'm bored, I'm laid off, and I want to go wheeling. Time to start planning.

There's a few trails in the area that I haven't seen discussed before. They're all listed on OF4WD.

Rock Coady
Located near Pakenham, 1+ difficulty (easy).

I don't mind leading this. Date pending.

Straddlebug
In the Calabogie area. Rated 2+. I'm not sure if I've done it. A bit east of Quinn and Crag. Probably accessible from Spring Fever camping area.

Dugan Lake, Three Mountains, Godin...

Were you thinking soon, or more April onward?

I think I remember seeing some chatter on OJC or EOTB about Rock Coady being contested by a land owner.

Since I've never looked at the rating system - I presume it's out of 5?

Most trails are closed until may 1st, I had the spring in mind. Trail rating is out of 5.

Rock coady is not even a trail, don't waste your time. We did it one year en route to burtlands... When we stopped I asked how much longer until we get to the trail head and I was told we just finished it. Oh :p

I've only done straddlebug once... I tried to get it added to the trail list three or four years ago, but I think we are missing members that actually know where it is now.

All the co-ordinates are on of4wd, it could be easily added to our database.

I'm forgetting the name of one trail at Calabogie. I did it with the Toronto guys last year, and attempted to do a night run on it at Spring Fever 2012, what's the name of that trail? Is that Straddlebug?

no it is Wabun lake. Straddlebug is in the Lanark county and IMO is not worthed the effort.

Anyone interested in doing an overland 4x4 type event? Maybe a multiple camp trail run (different sites)? I don't know if this is possible, but thought I would ask.

That's what I intend to do. My truck is more of an overland vehicle, not a rock crawler.

If you guys dont mind the 5-6hr drive , vermont has alot of nice class 4 roads which would take a few days to cover. Check out vermont overland on google.
