Sounds like good deals... too bad I don't have $1000.00 right now. Would be cheaper than a rebuild at the moment.

The motor home BB might be a truck motor, needs to be a pass motor.
Truck motors are very different.

Just some of the differences;

Visually they look very much alike, block number is the best way to determine what it is. If the motor is out then you can look for a stamping at the back of the block behing the flywheel, it will "Pass" for the car/light truck blocks.

Truck blocks will be stamped "truck". These blocks have a deck height of 1" higher the passenger block. they also have smaller valve used for low end torque.

You can also see this stamping on the head if the valve cover is off if the heads are original.

I see, thats quite the difference with a 1" higher deck height.
