Gorge Saturday

Thought the gorge would be a good place to test out a couple trucks that have never been wheeled. A few of us leaving from Carleton Place, anyone else wanna come?

Planning on leaving at 9AM, say Canadian Tire parking lot. Anybody in the know wanna be trail boss :)?

Hey Blair..... I'll see you there ( Crappy Tire), hope you've got directions sorted out, I've only been there the one time and went from Dirk's place to the trail. I'll be completely lost coming from C.P.

Hoping to be at Lower Spruce Hedge rd (the one off of Burnstown rd) for 10AM. How about we meet at the start of Lower Spruce. Then we can all head to the trail together.

Well doesn't look like I'm going to make it. Pager went off a few mins. ago and I'm off to work. Louis I may make it to Zellers for 9 if so I'll see you there, don't wait if I'm not there for head out.

Ok, no prob. As far as I know I am meeting up with one other cruiser at zellers then leaving at 9:01 sharp.

Checked out the Gorge... somehow totally missed Scott and Louis? We were both on time, but at two different spots. Never been there before- found our way using Dirk's directions- Thanks!

XJ & YJ both out on their first runs ever- both worked well. The CJ however blew a brake line on the first obstacle- note: never leave home without some fuel line, two hose clamps, zip ties, brake fluid and a can of pop. McGyver'd up the LF flex line- decided not to wheel the CJ, but it made it back to Carleton Place without issue.

The XJ on the other hand left the trail fine, but I blew a tire on The Bellamy on the way back- on the plus I'm getting good with the hi-lift. Also discovered my RR Shock mount let go... reweld is in my future.

Louis and Scott met us at the road while we were airing up.... looks like they had some good times in the mud.... still no idea how we didn't run into each other on the trail? Beauty day, didn't rain till we were airing back up.

Very crazy we didn't meet up - not sure how that happened!!

I have some video of Scott, Adam, and myself playing on the rocks, will try to get it up tomorrow.

We didn't have any real problems to speak of. Scott pointed out an old mud hole and I thought I'd give it a try - bad idea - very bad idea:) Got a tug from Adam and was back on the trail again. My front ARB locker has a blown seal so I couldn't get up 2 obstacles - so I feel a little inadequate:)

Pretty cool place for an afternoon of playing.

Ya was a really good day. Had a lot of fun. Climbed some obsticals that I had never done before. I still don't know how we didn't cross paths with you blair, esecially since we spend an hour in the mud hole.
