I've known about OVO for some time now as I used to be a member of OVLR and we ran across eachother in the mud many moons ago (I think when Mud Lite had a lifted S-10 or something of that nature and most of the guys were rolling Samurai's...please correct me if I'm wrong).

I found the forums whilst looking up info on the La Rose Forest closure and thought I would sign up in the hopes of finding some other decent places to offroad. I finally got my own rig last summer and I have only been...

It was probably a good 8-10 years ago, we probably just assumed the guys were with OVO as that's the only other club we knew in the area at the time.

It sounds like EOTB also has a strange perception of OVO. Twice I have heard from two different people of EOTB that OVO is "hard core" and not going on "family friendly trails". Granted OVO has the more built up machines and buggies in OVO but the last time I saw EOTB they had some seriously built stuff as well.

I had'nt heard of EOTB until I came here. I wonder why they say OVO is more 'hardcore' and whatnot...it seems they run Quinn's and Strattlebug just like OVO does.

My uncle has a 1961 Series II 88" (32's, Warn M8000), that's what got me into Land Rovers and offroading. My mom also has a 1953 Series I 80" however it's been out of service for some years now. I'm actually using her tires and rims until next year when I can get a set of Wolf rims and BFG MT's for the Disco.

Welcome, there are two Rovers in the club myself and a 109.
Look forward to seeing you out on some runs.

The 109 wouldn't happen to be Brutus...driven by none other than JL would it?

When I heard that it raised an eyebrow. The "family friendly" comment made me think of going offroading while watching porn for some reason. :)
The weird thing is that both times that term was used.

Al (CdSeries2A) who also has a LR has the KM2s on his and likes them. Once my crappy tires wear out (if they ever do) I was thinking of getting them.

I completely agree and in both cases I explained that there are a good number of stock and near stock rigs in OVO as well as the more custom rigs. Not sure where they got the idea from.

All the trails my 4 year old daughter has been on have been "family friendly". She loved some of the 8+ trails in Moab. She got to get out and stretch her legs and watch Daddy try to break his truck. And this is any different to any other trail run how?

OVO has as much to offer the new wheeler as it does the experienced hard core wheeler. Just know your limits!

Right on...I haven't seen JL since he was almost finished putting the 109 on the road, so probably a year and a half now. That thing is quite the beast.
