Hey, hoping to get out and run some trails in your area this upcoming season and hopefully wheel with you guys one day.

I wheel a 1981 Toyota Land Cruiser BJ42 with a 3B diesel, 24volt, BFG A/T 33's, Detroit rear, Spartan front, Warn M8000 winch, Viair onboard air, snorkeled, Longfields, full cage.

Cheers,
Noel

Welcome, and nice rig!
Keep an eye out for our annual spring fever. A full weekend of wheeling would be worth the trip.

Welcome aboard!

My Pinz is 24 volt too, and I am curious if your winch is a 12 or 24?

The best one I can think that fits that description on 33's would be Crag Lake.

Out of Lingham, Quinn, and Crag, would Crag still be the better?

Crag is the most scenic and more difficult than the Quinn. 33's on the Quinn is a cake walk ;) Lingham is just a power line so scenic it is not IMHO.

Come out to spring fever this year and you can run both the Quinn and Crag!

Cool, then Crag seems to be the one! I'm trying to plan a run for the 1st weekend opener in May (3-5). Wanna join us? A guy asked me about pulling an offroad trailer (behind a FJC on 35's), do you think that's doable? Is this trail on OF4WD? I'm still waiting for my membership info to arrive....

I definitely look out for the Spring Fever!

Cheers!

Pulling a trailer through there would be tight. Not sure it would be do-able. Might be able to get it to the lake (lunch/camp) spot. Then unhook and go the rest of the way if you wanted to camp at the lake.

I am sure myself and some others would be up for joining the run.

Sounds good aweber! It would be nice for someone that knows the trail to lead the way.

I'll put it together on my end and will post up a new thread on here too.

Nice looking FJ! Don't see many of those arOund...

Got any more pictures?

Have you restored it? How's the frame and tub holding up?

Thanks Impact! Correction though it's a BJ (diesel) not an FJ (gasser), both 40 series nonetheless.

I have not restored it. The frame is pretty good, needs a little repair near the inside mid section but otherwise holding up well. The tub will need attention soon but for now it too is holding up and it is a trail rig. Down the road I plan addressing these issues, but for now the goal is to have it be mechanically sound and have some fun! Been doing some winter prep right now so by April, when we have our local meet & greet (SONTT), it should be ready.
