Hi y'all,

Im looking for a winch for my FJ Cruiser. Does anyone have one for sale? If not where does one look for an inexpensive winch.

For a new one you can try the Champion brand at Costco. Compared to others they're not considered good quality or very reliable, so it depends how much and how you plan to use it. A lot of people use them and think they're fine and for the price you can buy 2 for the price of one Warn which most of us that want top quality have. You'll want at least 8,000 lbs strength for your truck.

BTW, it's not mandatory to have one to come on runs with us so I hope that's not the reason you're looking?

Also check out Titan Winches. They have a good review and are not particularly expensive. Catch is only a limited time warranty compared to others like Warn. But they seem to be built pretty well. I was looking at one of them possible in the future when fundage allows

I forgot about Titan, check them out first as they're in Canada and a good place to get a compressor to air your tires back up.

You can get a CB from a truck stop or shop, but that's not necessary the best place. Cobra is a good brand.

The 2009 model 10.000lb winch and 12k
Have a 2 year warranty on them .
There are a few improvements made on them over last years model.
I will list these on the website once the patent for the new brake is done.
the plastic shut off switch on the winches will of course be replaced.
I just got back from the Factory a few weeks ago and i told them and i qoute" there is no t a chance in hell that you are going to put that switch on my winches" guess what i have to change them all before they are ready to be sold.
OH Well my fault really because i did not add it to the specs in writing and i know better than that. I would have them do it but it would delay the shipment .

Looking at that picture, can you confirm the following:
1. The solenoid is now integrated?
2. Now wireless support? Is that an option or standard?

The Wirelless remotes are now standard on all models ( except for the Rear militery spec winch and the compressor winch with the OBA system )
the new wirelless remotes are individually tested at 100' and the receivers are water tested to 0.03metres .
the solenoid box is now sealed and it can be removed for underhood mounting as the Motor casting is now new and 2 bolt holes have been added to the top of the foot casting to accept the control box feet ( which is seperate to the box ) The bolts for the end cap of the motor are now fed from the foot casting side so as to eliminate the holes going through the cap and eliminating the chance of water entering into the motor from there.
there are some other changes but this is basically the main points.
The 10.000lb = $460.00
The 12.000 = $560.00
the mill spec = $450.00\and the compressor winch = $725 ( limited time offer

This is the same machine here . I have been talking with Alex ( Everlast ) and he wants me to carry his brand name here in Canada any warranty issues will of course be dealt with as normal as they are the same units from the same manufacturer.
The only problem i see with this is the prices i sell the units at may be a point of friction between us. as he sells the same unit for over $1000.00 ( 850.00usd) although he does supply a foot pedal and regulator with the unit.
Cheers
