Is this a trail?

So I was geocaching yesterday and came accross this:
-realized this is in the public forum and shouldn't have posted the coordinates-
It appears to be a small trail. I walked in as we were in the Nitro and you can't be too safe.

Has anyone checked the area out? I saw no signs saying private, in fact I saw a sign that said "Road not maintained by city" which is kind of odd.

Anyone want to go explore this weekend? (since my Jeep isn't capable of helping out with the clean up  )

No it doesn't, but it kinda looks like it goes into the forest area where you can't see the tire tracks well. I think it's worth exploring but I don't want to go alone, NEVER wheel alone :)

Sat? Sun?
It's supposed to rain all day tomorrow.
And I have to stick around here for a bit Sunday because somene is supposed to come and get this damn swing set.
Maybe this weekend is no good? I'm not afraid of the rain though :)

How about something more like 2? It's going to be fairly quick as I suspect it's a small area.
What do you drive? Do you have tow points? Front and rear? Do you carry the necessary recovery gear?

two sounds more reasonable...got two stock wranglers, tow hooks, plenty of gear.

Isn't it going to be too wet? Wouldnt want to ruin the trail. Maybe you guys should wait alittle longer.

No, I was in there the other day and it's not wet, and it's barely spitting out :)

we got to the trail around 2 10 and didn't see you there... We ended up getting a little stuck and could use some help getting out.
My phone number is 6133557616 if anyone is interested in doing some recovery and some more wheelin( depending on time.
Seems like good trail so far... Have more updates when we get out :D

So we made it out finally. It turned into a swampy area that may or may not have been a trail. Looks like someone had been in there in the past (ruts), but grass had overgrown most of the previous tracks. After quickly getting one unstuck, we got stuck ourselves. Took 45 minutes to get us unstuck. After that, the hole we got stuck in was filled in, and the final rig was quickly pulled out. Quite an adventure, I was a bit worried that we might still be there after dark.

Good to hear everyone made it out okay, will you be trying it again once things dry up a bit? I wouldn't mind coming along. I know I maybe didn't make a good first impression on Jen but, I'm really not an azzhole!

We'll definitely be trying it again, but I'm not sure it'll dry up much. There's a beaver pond right there, and the area we got stuck in is below the water level, so it's probably always wet. Some of the old ruts were really deep. From the map, the area we were in had several ways through, and hopefully on the other side it is higher ground.

Our plreasure. Sorry we didn't meet up in the first place.
To explain to others, Ty and I were early so we headed off to get Tim Hortons, huge line of course, by the time we got back it was 2:20 and the guys had already gone in. We headed in to see but weren't sure if they turned around or went further and we didn't want to risk going further alone.

It all worked out in the end. We'll have pics soon.
