These are 3 trails that are new to OVO and are posted on OF4WD.

Here's a link to one of the lakes

It's a 2 hour drive from Ottawa, there's 3 trails to cover, so I plan on camping the night.

Direction tell me to drive through Renfrew, so that would make a good meeting spot. The NO FRILLS Parking lot at 9:30.

This is the first time OVO has ever been there, and there's no marked loading zone on my map. this is the last section of road on street view. The left is where we are going, looks pretty wide, maybe a turn around area just down the road where that picnic table is. To the right appears to be a general store, with a little space. We will find you a spot.

Nice! I'm thinking 9:30 in Renfrew. Do you guys think we can pack all our gear in our trail rigs and just figure out a spot to camp, or head back to the trailer at the end of the day? It's hard to plan for the unknown, but that's part of the expedition experience.

It'll be tough to get through Renfrew without losing everyone in a group. If Dwayne doesn't mind you could meet in his store parking lot, then you are right at the 132. Or, on the west side of town past the other Timmy's is a large abandoned parking lot you could meet at, then you only need to backtrack through 1 set of lights to get to the 132.

I don't mind, I guess this is on a Saturday morning? If there is only 3 trucks they shouldn't have a problem following each other. I would meet at the No Frills parking lot, the CTC one is congested and a pain with a trailer.

Hey guys, I am not sure if everyone is coming from the Ottawa area for this run but if you take Black Donald/Centennial Lake Road off the 508 it will bring you right out at the bridge on Hwy.41. (where the trail starts from) Just my 2 cents. Have a great trip.

I'm not sure if it's just me but I think the first link is wrong, unless you're planing a weekend camping run to BC, (;

That would be a nice trip. My parents live in interior BC and the hydro lines there are definitely more challenging than here since the paths along the line are always off camber :)

My brother lived on Bowen Island for a while and during my visit there he and the boys took me on some very steep trails up and over the mountain, I held on with both hands, braced my feet against the firewall and was gripping the seat with my butt cheeks!! Lol!! We were in my brothers 89' 4runner "following" a mountain goat like sure footed bone stock drunken lady driven TJ Rubicon! Wild time!

I checked both my links and they seem to be correct. If I am wrong, it's just North of Griffith Ontario. I drove past the area for a Stag in Bancroft this weekend. On our way back we scouted an area for your trailer(s). There seems to be enough room at the Three Mountain road intersection. Good for 1 or two trailers.

Afterwards, we drove a tiny bit around Griffith and I found a BJ40 Land Cruiser in someone's driveway. Knock on his door, talked to his son. They just pulled it out from the back and plannned on selling it. He fired it up, the old 3B diesel sounds amazing. Went to see the old man who runs the Restaurant, we talked a bit, and I can get it for $2500. It's too heavy for my FJC to tow, a little beyond my budget, but it's a god damn BJ40. HMMMMMMMM!!!

The son, who drives a full size dodge, offered to lead us around if it was on another weekend. He grew up there and knows the whole area. Awesome little town :beer:

Changing the meeting point to the No Frills Parking lot in Renfrew.

Oh, and Mucovich, I passed you on the 417 around Arnprior. I was driving the lady's jeep so there's no way you would notice me.
