i guess it's going to be a day trip then! Garrett, I'm still down for camping if you are able to. I'll probably drive back in and camp regardless of the situation.

We started off with Godin Lake, only to find a very big blockade and a sign "No Motor Vehicles without authorisation". Womp. I took a picture and will submit to of4wd. We moved on to Thee Mountain trail. This is best part of our day. Interesting and rocky vertical trail. There are lots of medium rocks sitting loose of bedrock, along with a few ledges and larger obstacles. The wooded areas are very tight, and I received a lot of pin striping. It looks like only a few ATV's go though, I doubt it's a fun trail for them.

One of the most interesting areas was to either pass though some very large rocks, or do the bypass which is a VERY tight off-camber left turn. As usual, pictures don't do justice. I did a 5 point turn while puckering, and Brad took on the big stuff.

This is another fun area that required spotting. Either choose to carefully pass though the bedrock , or though a mild rock garden.

This is our lunch spot, it provided an incredible view. More than half of the trail is open hill top with a nice breeze. Not just the lunch spot like we see at Lavant. It's a milder version of the trails in North Bay.

The end of Three Mountain has a back door trail that connects to Dugan lake. We decided to try that. The fallen trees were cleared to barely allow ATV's though (no surprise). Extremely tight wooded area, and there were no rock obstacles. I'm guessing the more interesting part of the trail was beyond this back door access trail. We stopped to clear a lot of trees with nothing else but my axe and my winch. We eventually came up to a 24+" log blocking out way, so we turned around and headed back to the main road.

I clipped a small log on our way back through a trail that services a few hunt camps. Fucker came out of no where. Brad said if I didn't hit it, he would have. He was also on the verge of overheating throughout the day, but never officially broke down. We suspect it's a water pump or thermostat.

All fixed up!

Stephanie and I finally settled to a nice camping spot by a lake. Very quiet and peaceful. Gorgeous evening, and nice and dry morning thanks to my magical blue tarp. The drive home was only and hour and a half. The trail was awesome, and there's still more to scout. Three Mountain is absolutely an awesome trail that we should visit annually. Day trips are very feasible.

Awesome! Thank you jg.

Looks like it's actually worth the drive.
I like it and I'll be visiting this trial at some point.

I like that type of trail, I'll have to run it some time.

Thanks for doing the scouting for us.

Looks great, next time someone will need to bring a saw, though.

Aren't 4.0's known for clutch fan problems? Might be the cause of the overheating.

Awesome Pics! I have some video I need to convert and upload, I'll try to get to that this week.

As for the overheating, never got over 110C so I think it's just the thermostat.

Had a great time, the mountain was a lot of fun, and a chainsaw is a must for the lower trail. (And some major bug spray).
