Knuckle rebuild questions

I am having problems with my knuckles since the rebuild...

When I turn the knuckle from side to side I get some resistance near the ends... It gets really stiff... And if I spin the rotor it seems to shift where the resistance is at.. IE: It might be smooth on one end, but stiff moving it the other way, if that makes any sense?

Wondering if its the birfields or knucle bearings?

When I loosen the steering arm a little and the bottom cap, I can grab the knuckle and move it up and down by...

Now that I think about it... Maybe this resistance is normal...

I'm thinking that the ball bearings "inside" the birfields, when turned and the axle shaft is not rolling with the truck, the birf only wants to move in certain ways...
So if the truck was rolling, it would move freely... at least I think....

Anybody getting what Im saying? LOL
