Anyway, if 33s are the minimum safe size I should probably skip then.

Up to you. I did Lavant on 29s with no locker. Got stuck in one place (the area near the swamp) but did take in some light body scrapes. (I backed into big rock).

I can still hear Brad's deadpan: "You got a new scratch". :p

Yeah, me too. Would love to go on this checkout ride to see your buggy and do a checkout ride of my own.

That's if I can finish putting on the lift on the XJ. Still have many broken bolts to drill out and have yet to change the output shaft on the TC.

I did Lavant in a stock Sami with, oh, 27 inch tires? Lots of banging and scraping although the only real damage was self inflicted (following too close, had to stop at the complete wrong time/spot, sliding back into a tree ), so if you're really concerned about pinstriping or some new dents underneath, I'd say wait until you've either got a DD, or a little more clearance.

Gents, looks like you are missing the point: this tread is not about your stock ****s, or how you did soooo tough trails like Lavant on 27 inch tires :lmao:; This tread is about a PRIVATE run, which SOME of you eventually might participate.

And just FYI I did Pininon pass on bald 31s and the stock truck just arrived from Germany. And so what...

Adrian I may be in for sunday, just trying to get my hands on a trailer for the day. My XJ is locked-locked on 33's. I will know for sure later in the week.

I'll opt out then. I figured if its doable then it would be fun thats all.

If its a Private run then I'll catch another run.

If this is a "private run" it should be in the private section, not public. :flipoff:

Lavant is not a difficult trail, only one spot on the trail which is tight to get through, need to be slow and steady in the right line, and all the stockers made it through with only minor problems. other then this, it is a very easy light trail. but still always a good idea to have top points front and rear which are accessible.

If you discuss a trail run in the public section, expect people to want to come.

Well if tis publics then I'm up for it. I don't want to intrude or slow you guys down though. I do have tow points on the front but not on the rear.

I think the only important factor here is Adrian has not tested his new chevota and to be safe if he was to have a problem would need a guy or 2 there that could and would be willing to drag his sorry ass out of the woods with his tail behind him :lmao: This said they need to be capable enough to get him through the hard spots... so as long as you have that... sounds like ride is on, and others can join. :clue:

Enjoy your run.

Well I could tow him out or push him out thats for sure, I'm just worried I may need a tug here and there to get through the tough spots lol
