I did it a few years ago with a stock Grand Cherokee on 31's with no issues. I haven't been on the trail in a few years but I'm sure you would be fine.

There used to be one tight spot but from what I heard the tree got cut down so that's not an issue anymore. Otherwise your truck should do fine, though you should have tow points on the front just in case.

Hey, I think I'd like to come out if you guys could give pm me some better directions, I'm not from Ottawa so when you guys talk about trails, I have no idea where they are. lol
I have an XJ, and my friend has a stock TJ but hes thinking about getting some MTR's on it, he's wondering if his truck would be capable... but the pics look like its not too bad. -Thanks.

I'm tryin to get some new tires for the run, gotta do some suspension fixin too. should be good to go by then though. My friend is supposed to be gettin 31's for his tj with stock suspension, will be good enough on this trail?

Hello,

I'm new to the forum and would like to tag along if that's ok?. I have an 07 stock JK Unlimited Sahara. I may have a winch installed by Sunday but if not, do you think I will be able to make it through the trail? I can meet at the Hopetown Gas station or Bells Corners. Cheers!

Bell's Corners Zellers, corner of Moodie and Robertson, leave at 8:30.

Hopetown at the gas station, last stop for gas, munchies, and washrooms, leave at 10:00.

I'll be in Hopetown and lead from there, who can lead a group from the Zellers?

Hello YJ_Driver,

I was just have a couple of questions about this run on Sunday. How long does it usually take to get through the Lavant trail? I'm wondering if I should I be packing a lunch or not? Thanks

The lunch is..... mandatory! We usually stop for lunch at the trail end, at the very top with a beautifull view to Ottawa Valey, and than go back. Also bring your camera!
For all new commers/new members/guests and so on - NO alcohol and drugs allowed to any OVO runs. Violators wont be tolerated!

Normally we get out of this trail around 4:00, but breakdowns and stucks sometimes makes us get out later than anticipated, so bring extra food and drinks, and don't make any dinner plans ;)

Got a map, directions, or GPS track for this new exit? And how much "fun" is it?

With the group we have so far I'm not sure I want to venture into an area I don't know, but I might scout it out a bit.

How many trucks do you have out with you Richard?? Looks like the Rausch Creek trip may be postponed due to freezing rain conditions so I might be looking for somewhere to wheel this weekend....(and could lead the group from Zellers if need be)

Ok, that's a good days ride then...I like it! I will also meet in Hopetown (I'm assuming there's only one Gas station) @ 10am. If that's still the meeting time.
